Hridesh Singh, now known by his stage name, Yo Yo Honey Singh is a prominent name in the Indian music industry. He began his career as a session and recording artist before venturing into music production, particularly in bhangra music. Over time, he transitioned into producing music for Bollywood films, carving a niche for himself as a versatile musician and performer.
Honey Singh's breakthrough came with the release of his Punjabi album ‘International Villager’ in 2011, which featured the chart-topping track ‘Gabru’ in collaboration with singer J-Star. The song garnered widespread acclaim and topped various Asian music charts, including the prestigious BBC Asian charts, catapulting him to fame.
Honey Singh's foray into Bollywood music saw him achieve unprecedented success, with his songs topping charts and breaking records. He reportedly earned the highest fee ever paid for a Bollywood song for his contributions to films like ‘Cocktail’ and ‘Mastan’.
In addition to his musical skills, Honey Singh has also ventured into acting, making his debut in Punjabi cinema with roles in films like ‘Mirza - The Untold Story’ and ‘Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22’.
